-self portrait (draw, trace, paint)

10:00-10:15 Free-Choice Play (and a few centers)

10:15-10:30 Snack (Brooke)

10:30-10:45 Activity
-magnifying glass to look at fingerprints
-facial expressions in the mirror
-cut string as tall as they are (label with tape)
-weigh themselves
-doctor’s office (listen to heartbeats)
-clean up song

10:45-11:00 Closing
-Closing prayer
-sing songs (alphabet and color songs)
-read books

-color/shape sort using big tweezers
(working on pincer grip and small muscle skills)

9:30-10:00 Lesson/Craft
-read “10 Apples Up On Top” by Dr. Seuss
-counting 1-10
-flash card (see the way 1-10 look)
-count our fingers and toes
-Apples Up On Top art

10:00-10:15 Snack

10:15-10:30 Free-Choice Play (and a few centers)

10:30-10:45 Activity (review and assessment)
-play alphabet game
-review colors
-color bean bag toss

10:45-11:00 Closing
-gather weekly projects

Day 2

-animal sort into groups with big tweezers (fine motor skills)

9:15-9:30 Circle Time
-opening prayer
-job chart
-calendar
-weather
- Show and Tell (What’s in your bag?)
-introduce theme: A - animal/apple week
-talk about what letter A looks like and sounds like

9:30-10:00 Lesson/Craft
-”Starfall” web site
-look at ant hill and talk about ants working
-letter A worksheet (trace with finger and crayon)
-finger print and color ant hill

10:00-10:15 Free-Choice Play (and a few centers)
-plastic animal parade
-count animals
-block animal cages
-animal puzzles
-clean up song
