BUSY BEE PRESCHOOL

Welcome to Brooke’s Busy Bee preschool. It is my goal to provide a fun, hands on learning environment for your child. We will incorporate the gospel principals with our lessons and learn about scripture stories. Your child will build self confidence and acquire basic skills that will prepare them for kindergarten.

You can look on our school blog Brookesbusybeepreschool.blogspot.com at any time to see what we are learning and to see the schedule and lesson plan for that week. It will be updated each Monday.

We will meet each week on Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 - 11:00 AM. We will go with the Davis school district school schedule and will not hold preschool on the days they are not in session. Class will start Wednesday, September 1, 2010.

Tuition is $55.00 a month and is due before the 25th of the preceding month. There is a one time $20.00 supply fee that will be used for copies, art supplies and snacks. Once this first months tuition and supply fee is paid, your child’s spot will be secured.

I strive to provide a safe and fun atmosphere, however accidents may happen. I will inform you of any injuries that I become aware of during class, and will call you if I think it is serious. Please provide two emergency contacts to call if your child gets sick or has an emergency.

If your child is sick, please don’t send them to get the rest of the children sick. If I suspect any contagious symptoms, your will be informed to come pick your child up early.

Birthdays are such a fun time. Please send a poster or something to spotlight your child the week of his/her birthday. You may send a snack to share with the class. I will send home a note letting you know which day would be best for the class to celebrate your child’s birthday. If your child’s birthday is during the summer, another day will be assigned.

Each week we will be talking about a different theme. This theme will be used throughout our day in various activities. When the children first arrive, they will have their own cubby to put their backpacks, coats and shoes in. While we are waiting for all the children to arrive, we will have a fine motor activity at the table for your child to do. Next, we will have the pledge, opening prayer, calendar and weather wheel.
We will start right in on our learning theme for the day. Each week, we will have math, language arts, story time, scripture, music, art or science, fine motor skills and large motor activities. We will go over colors, numbers and the alphabet each day to keep those fresh on their mind. At the end of the day, we will talk about the next days activities, have a closing prayer and dismiss.
We will have show & tell on Wednesday, each week. Please send something that has to do with the theme for that week. This should be a fun time to get to know your child and have them gain confidence as they share what they brought.
